How do you dress a timeless bed
in haute couture?

Hästens’ passion is timeless quality, an experience transcending any clock. The passion of haute couture designer Lars Nilsson is to be constantly at the forefront of fashion. We meet as masters of our respective crafts and great admirers of the talents of the other.

Since moving to Paris at the age of 18, Swedish-born Lars Nilsson has been taking even the most discerning connoisseurs of haute couture by storm. He has also started his own men’s fashion line, Mr. Nils.

Nilsson’s sharp eye has long been fascinated by Hästens’ blue-check pattern. So, of course, this distinct design was the starting point when Lars and Hästens fabric experts began their bed linen collaboration.

Two outstanding patterns were created, both originated by hand; pencil, watercolor, crayon and gouache made for free-flowing personal expression. Inspiration was taken from the abundance of iris flowers in the many classic English gardens Lars visited during the design process.

Rather like Nilsson’s design, the fabric for the Iris collection is of the utmost quality. Light and deliciously airy, this cotton satin falls gently on the body – and fills your bedroom with wellcomposed colors of joy.

Daisy Iris

Designer Lars Nilsson's sophisticated new interpretation of Hästens Blue Check is inspired by English gardens. Woven from our finest combed cotton satin, the design incorporates variations of the iris flower. The patterns are drawn by hand using pencils, water colors, gouache and crayon in the designer’s unique style. Lars himself describes it as timeless, chic, dreamy and floral – without showing flowers.
